Every now and then all of us will feel overwhelmed by life, so when you feel this way take a lesson from the example of Judah’s king Asa.
In our devotions this morning we read in 2 Chronicles 14 that when an army of a million men came against king Asa (the original Million Man March?), he and his people cried out to the Lord these words:
2 Chonicles 14:11 “LORD, it is nothing for You to help, whether with many or with those who have no power; help us, O LORD our God, for we rest on You, and in Your name we go against this multitude. O LORD, You are our God; do not let man prevail against You!”
The LORD heard Asa’s prayer, and the Bible says that, “the LORD struck the Ethiopians before Asa and Judah, and the Ethiopians fled.” Did you notice that “the LORD” did it! So, don’t be overwhelmed trying to do “it” in your own strength and by your own wisdom; just keep the faith and watch what the LORD will do. Then, share your own “the LORD did it” testimony with the rest of us.
